Trumpeter Charles Lazarus is a multi-faceted performer, composer, producer and band leader whose career has included tenures in Dallas Brass, Meridian Arts Ensemble, Canadian Brass, and the Minnesota Orchestra. He has created and produced several crossover orchestral shows featuring his various ensembles with which he has released five recordings. His live recording of Heitzeg’s “American Nomad” concerto and a children's animated short film collaboration with author Michael Hall are available on online. Lazarus has appeared as a soloist with numerous orchestras around the US and Canada, performed with the Empire Brass, New York Philharmonic Principal Brass, London Brass, Barry White, and opened for Tony Bennett. In demand as a clinician and teacher, he has performed and taught master classes in every US state, Canada, throughout Asia and Europe.


Jack Stamp is currently serving as “International Composer in Association” to the world-renowned Grimethorpe Colliery Brass Band, Dr. Stamp recently served as visiting professor of music at Luther College (Fall, 2018), where he was acting director of bands and taught conducting. He spent the prior three years as adjunct faculty at UW-River Falls. He recently retired from full-time employment in 2015 as Professor of Music and Director of Band Studies at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) where he conducted the Wind Ensemble and taught courses in graduate conducting.

After Hours Big band

The After Hours Big Band is a network of friends who wanted to see their own playing live on after years of playing in collegiate ensembles. The original ensemble consisted of educators from Minnesota and Wisconsin and has expanded and evolved into both a performing ensemble as well as an educational resource for Twin Cities school music programs.

The After Hours Big Band performs for a variety of events and is dedicated to performing the highest quality of music while reaching a broad variety of audience members.
