Q:     Who is Encore?

A.      The Encore Wind Ensemble is a 48-member post-collegiate musical ensemble of some of the finest woodwind, brass and percussion players in the Twin Cities.  Encore is committed to enriching communities by providing concerts in their neighborhoods, and inspiring our youth to express themselves through the performance and creation of music.  Jerry Luckhardt, associate director of bands at the University of Minnesota, is Encore’s conductor.

Q:     I’m looking for a unique way to introduce band music on a professional level to my students.  How can Encore help?

A:      The Encore Wind Ensemble has developed the MusicConnect Program to do just that.  By working with a local semi-professional wind ensemble, your students will experience a high quality performance that can inspire them to continue a life-long exploration of music.

Q:     How can I arrange an Encore performance at my school?

A:      Select from the MusicConnect program options available that suit your needs.

MusicConnect Program Options

#1 - HOST A CONCERT ($400)

Encore will provide a concert at your school that includes marketing, advertising and promotional efforts, plus advocacy efforts to your local school board on behalf of your music program.

#2 - SHARE A CONCERT ($200)

Add Encore to your own school band performance.  This is a great way to showcase your bands progress without having to perform a full-length concert on your own.  Encore will also include your school in its marketing, advertising and promotional efforts.

#3 - SHARE A CONCERT WITH SIDE-BY-SIDE PERFORMANCE ($400)

In addition to sharing a concert with Encore, we will also prepare a selection to be performed with your ensemble.  Give your students a chance to hone their skills next to a semi-professional!

#4 – SOLO AND ENSEMBLE COACHING (by arrangement when available)

Are you getting ready for solo and ensemble contest?  Have a chamber ensemble that needs coaching?  Invite a member of Encore to work with your students!  We have many instrumentalists who can help.  Fees and length of class vary with each individual clinician.
