Young Composers Contest
The Charles B. Olson
Young Composers Contest is sponsored by the Encore Wind Ensemble of Roseville,
Minnesota. This contest has
been created to encourage developing young composers 15-22 years of age and
promote the performance of high quality wind band literature in honor of the
ensemble's founding conductor, Charles B. Olson.
The winning composition will receive a $500 cash award with a
public performance and compact disc recording by the
Encore Wind Ensemble.
