Ann Hagen - President (2nd term exp. 9/2012)
Ann is the Assistant Director of the Minnesota Craniofacial Research Training Program (MinnCResT) at the University of Minnesota. She has degrees from the University of Michigan and the University of Minnesota both in bassoon performance.

Nicholas Ellison - Vice President (1st term exp. 9/2011)
Nicholas teaches elementary band in the Burnsville-Eagan-Savage school district and performs as a trumpeter throughout the Twin Cities. He graduated from St. Olaf College with a degree in music and management, and he studied music education at the University of Minnesota. He has played trumpet with Encore since 2006. He lives in St. Paul with his wife, Melissa.

Brent Comeau - Secretary/Treasurer & Accessibility Coordinator (1st term exp. 9/2013)
Brent plays tuba in Encore and has performed with the group since 2003.  He currently serves as Director of Bands at Woodbury High School.  He holds a bachelor's degree in music education from St. Olaf College '02 and masters in conducting from Southern Oregon University '07 as a part of the American Band College.  Brent's professional affiliations include MENC: The National Association for Music Education, Minnesota Music Educators Association, Minnesota Band Directors Association, and Phi Meta Mu.  Brent and his wife Sara met playing in Encore.  Sara is also a music educator in South Washington County Schools.  They currently reside in Woodbury, MN.

David Borsheim (2nd term exp. 9/2013)
David retired to his home town of St Paul after teaching French horn and music theory courses for 31 years at Mansfield University in Pennsylvania. An active freelance performer, he received his music and education degrees from St. Thomas and the University of Cincinnati.

Bob Comeau (1st term exp. 9/2012)
After earning his BSME Degree from the University of South Dakota - Springfield, Bob taught high school band in public schools in South Dakota and southwestern Minnesota for five years.  In 1971 he left the teaching profession to pursue his entrepreneurial spirit.  Being recently semi-retired, he has interests in banking, farming, insurance and real estate development.  Bob and his wife Joan now spend their winters in south Texas where he performs with the McAllen Symphonic Band, the Rio Grande Valley Concert Band and Swing Street Big Band.  Their son, Brent, is also an Encore member and is currently Director of Bands at Woodbury High School.

Bill Ekstrum (1st term exp. 9/2012)
Bill has played trumpet with the Encore Wind Ensemble since its inception and currently is the trumpet section leader.  He also is a member of the Lake Wobegon Brass Band and has performed around the Twin Cities in a variety of settings.  Apart from music, he is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and William Mitchell College of Law and currently serves as a District Court Judge in Washington County.

Jean Lake (1st term exp. 9/2012)
Jean is a pharmacist in the Twin Cities and is a graduate of Albany College of Pharmacy in Albany, NY. Prior to that experience, she majored in clarinet performance at Ithaca College. Jean has been a clarinetist with Encore since moving to Minnesota in 1998 and also plays with Star of the North Concert Band, as well as with several small chamber ensembles. She resides in Edina with her husband, clarinetist Robert Lake, who is a founding member of Encore.

Robert Lake (1st term exp. 9/2013)
Bob has played clarinet with Encore since it's beginning and is one of its founding members. He holds a Bachelor and Master degree in Music Education and clarinet from Drake University in Des Moines, IA, with additional studies at the University of St. Thomas and Hamline University in Minnesota. Bob has 32 years of full-time public school band teaching in Iowa and Edina, MN, and 50 years of professional performance in dance bands. Bob also served in the National Guard and Army Reserve Band for 26 years as solo clarinetist, woodwind group leader and enlisted band director. Bob is a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Minnesota Band Director's Association, MN Army Reserve Band Veterans, Evergreen Club of Musicians MN, and Star of the North Concert Band. His wife, Jean, also plays clarinet with Encore.

Eric Moon (1st term exp. 9/2012)
Eric has a Bachelor of Science (Electrical Engineering) degree from Iowa State University and a Masters of Software degree from the University of St. Thomas.   He works as an engineering and software consultant.  Eric is an active freelance musician playing as a church soloist and with other local musical groups.  Eric along with his wife Amy have played trumpet in Encore since 2001.
